Online buys

I did some online shopping the other day. Low US exchange rate + free domestic shipping. Free shipping to my house too since my brother helping me take back. What's not to like?

Highlighter

Blusher

All these cost me only USD57plus = SGD83 plus. Sooo cheap. The blusher alone retails around SGD53plus at Changi Airport. Super good deal.

Card troubles

I recently had a change of my English name and called Citibank to rectify the name change. It was shockingly easy to do it over the phone. But they actually sent me the card with just my English name on it and not my surname. What the...? Gosh, isn't it common sense to include a last name? I'm speechless.

Shopping buys

I actually went for acupuncture the other day and I'm still alive! Gosh, I hate needles. My gastric is a teeny better. It was so bad last week I didn't have the energy to do anything.

My photos all turned out with a pinkish tint these days. I think it has to do with the new pink curtain in my room.

Kawaii biscuit snack

I bought a nail polish and got the mask and folder as a free gift. Good deal! I always miss the fluffy pen door gift. Instead, I keep seeing the folder and I don't even like the guy. Hmmph. I would have be more enthusiastic if it's Lee Jun Ki. Complain so much but I still take since it's free. Ha.

TCM

I'm currently taking TCM for my ever growing complicated gastric illness. They taste like crap! Yucks. It's really bad.

What good is, I'm going down Orchard tomorrow, meaning I can gorge on my favorite takoyaki!

Anyway, Dan Brown's new book is out. Wondering if I should get it. I mean, I'm sure it's good, but they usually give me a headache. It's not exactly light reading for the mind.

Yummy ramen

I'm a great fan. Dropped by again for yummy ramen today! So satisfied. Yum yum.

Agnes Br II

I've got my Agnes Br tote!!!

It wasn't a japan limited-only series after all. I saw the bag while shopping in Orchard yesterday evening and grabbed it on the spot. The salesperson told me that they have sold off quite a few in the afternoon. Seems to be popular!

Agnes Br

I've just found out this Agnes br series retails only in Japan. I'm so disappointed!

Am glad I've managed to buy the magazine that comes with this free lunch tote under the same series. All the queuing was worth it! No wonder it was so popular!

Random musings

Browsing through the internet forum wedding topic just leave me blaffed. Generally, people are holding all those silly banquets in order to be conventional, please others and just trying to follow the traditional ways. What are you, cattle? Follow, follow, follow...

I'm the type who can't be bothered to worry what your f***ing opinion is. I just do what I like. If anyone comes up to me and ask me why am I not holding a wedding banquet or taking any indoor photography(which I'm sure I will get in a few years time), I''ll probably ask them to f'*** off.

What's irritating is I'm starting to get really silly questions from relatives like when I'm getting married. I'm like, 24??? Don't you feel like giving them the 3rd finger? Maybe next time I should ask insensitive questions back like how come you got so many wrinkles? You know, the type that will irritate them.

Food for thought: Why would you want to spend ten of thousands to hold a dinner for people you might not even see again or even like when you can buy about 5 birkins for that price. Haha.

New Moon

I just watched the new trailer of New Moon.

Edward saying "Go to hell?????" (Wtf???)

This is so un-Edward. God, I hope they don't screw the movie up.

Movie looks promising though. A lot of actions. Which is good, don't have to worry about Mr Bear zzzzz through the movie.

Less than 3 months to New Moon!

Bad Day

You know it's a bad day when you:

1) screwed up an interview

2) missed out on the last pair of size6 shoe on sale - major disaster alert!

3) found that the item you bought just 2 week ago have miraculously gone on sale

4) could not find the photo album design that you want and have to go all the way back to Kovan to get it

I'm having such a migraine.

On a lighter note, I bought an Laura Ashley look-alike fabric clothes hanger from Daiso!

Birthday present

Wonder what present should I get for my birthday?

I thought of getting a Guess Watch or a Bruan Buffel wallet. Or a tote from Agnes Br ab heart series. If it gets here, that is. I already have the small tote from that series so I won't be extremely disappointed if it doesn't. To sidetrack a bit, I bought my Agnes Br small tote out today and Mr Bear noted a girl kept looking at my bag! It's really pretty I guess.

But Mr. Bear is not keen on the latter. He got this idea that I'm going to throw away my new wallet for a Gucci one when I start working again, which is so not true. Okay, maybe a little. Obviously, I'll won't throw it away, probably it will end up in my wardrobe of bags. He knows me so well it getting harder and harder to "cheat" him.

I don't know whether it's the kick of getting a Chanel 2.55 so early in my life. But my craving of designer bags have miraculously simmered down after getting the 2.55. My current philosophy is to buy only the classic designs. And I am proud to say I have not ever regret a single designer bag purchase. My next aim is Hermes Garden Canvas Tote or maybe another Chanel.

Save, save, save...

Steady Magazine - I've got my Agnes Br Tote!!!

Note: Never underestimate the power of a compulsive shopaholic.

There are only 3 things in the world that can make me run:

1. Disneyland
2. Buying a Chanel bag
3. Designer Sale

So it's probably the 3rd reason today. I feel like I've just did the entire 2.4km run today. My back are aching.

I should have known when it started to rain in the morning - bad omen.

Despite the rain, I went down Bugis Junction to queue up for the "Steady"magazine hoping the rain might deter the crowd. Turns out I was wrong. I got there around 1.15pm and was told by the staff there's a delay in shipment. Magazine will start selling at 4pm instead of 2 pm.

F*** f*** f****!

Then, I hurried down to Orchard outlet which starts selling at 2pm. Much to my dismay, the queue was full. I reckon if I had gone straight to Orchard outlet, I might have a better chance! Not willing to give up, I made a detour back to Bugis, shopped around and waited for 3pm so that I can start queuing. F*** again, there's no queuing system in Bugis! Crappy management. Then people started doing their unofficial queue and after a whole lot of drama with the management, I finally got the magazine. I was the 7th person in the queue and there's was only 11 copies available.

Who cares about the magazine? Oops.

My Agnes Br tote that comes with the magazine

There's even a tag that comes along with it. Isnt it gorgeous?

This design is being released under its Fall Collection. Wonder when it will reach our shores? I'm definitely buying!!! I'm looking at buying the medium tote and the coin pouch.

I am feeling euphoric, elated, gleeful, joyful, happy and glad right now!

I better start learning Japanese soon...

so that I can read Japanese fashion magazines. Their gift with purchases are so tempting!

Wondering if I should post this actually. Since Mr Bear reads this blog, I wouldn't want him to know that I'm buying something random again :p

But I presume he's going to find out anyway when I bring my bag out. He's getting more and more shrewd nowadays. Hmmph. Pretty observant for a guy. It's getting more challenging to take a random bag out and proclaim that it's something old I've dug out in my wardrobe of bags!

So, back to the topic, this seems pretty popular, for obvious reasons. There's a free agnes br lunch tote that comes with the magazine. Wondering if I should drop by Kinokuniya Bugis to try my luck tomorrow? I don't want to go down all the way to Bugis and end up with nothing!

Cereal Toy

Mr Bear says I have a knack for buying useless stuff which is so not true. This is actually a free toy that comes with any purchase of Kellogg cereal. I wanted the Hello Kitty one but didn't managed to get it. Hmmph.

So what is this toy supposed to do was the question that cropped up. I told Mr Bear that this is a bowl hanger. He must think that there is a bowl inside the cereal box. Haha. Instead, it's like a hanger thing whereby you hang it onto your bowl/cup shown in the photo. Ya, that's what it's for.

He probably must have flipped out. But do give me some credit for managing to find a cup that complement with the bowl hanger. See how they match?

Jill Stuart E-Mook

I actually intended to make a trip down Liang Court to pick up my copy but Mr Bear saw it in Bugis Kinokuniya and bought it for me! Must praise him for his sharp eye. We ended up going down to Orchard Imperial Treasure for yummy porridge and xiao long bao.

This cost me $31. So expensive!

But totally worth it when I saw the make-up pouch. It's so pretty :) Ballerina pink with dainty ribbon motif and jill stuart logo all over. Love it, love it, love it...

It also comes with a travel-sized mirror, which can be bended to make it into a stand-up mirror. Handy.

Inside the book

Saw the vanity mirror shown in the center at Taiwan counter and I wanted it sooo much! But I couldn't bear to spend $40 for it. It's atrociously expensive.

I thought the fragrance was quite mild and common and hence did not buy. Regret not getting the fragrance. The bottle is so pretty! Will get it the next time I go Hongkong.

Whole collection of the compact blushers shown on top. I want to collect more of them!

Limited edition vanity case. Dreamy, isn't it?

I always buy a copy of My Melody calender every year. Thought I make a change this time. I knew I had to get it once I saw the cute carrousel on the cover.

New Moon

I saw the movie poster at Lido Shaw House today and thus stir up my excitement again.

New moon is only going to be out on 3rd Dec 2009! THAT long??? US release date is around November. Stupid cinema operators.

I want to see Robert Pattinson!!! But Edward is missing a whole lot in the front part of New Moon storyline, I'm looking forward more to Eclipse actually.

The movie poster puts me off a little. It isn't very accurate. Bella holding Jacob's arm. Bella only realize she's in love with Jacob in Eclipse. In New Moon, she's still pining for Edward. Why can't they just stick to the original story? Hmmph.

Or maybe I got it all wrong. Maybe she's trying to push Jacob away so she can go to Edward. Hahaha.

I'm definitely on Team Edward! 3 more months to go! Bet I'm going to get advanced tickets for this.

Ed, Ed, Edward

Great read! I bet it will be made into a movie someday. It's been a while (ok, really long) I've been hooked on a book since twilight saga series. Finally, something that gets me out of the twilight saga re-reading obsession! A definite page-turner!

Apparently, the name Edward is quite in fashion now. All the perfect male leads are named Edward, or just plain Ed as in the book. Oh Edward, Edward, Edward, how that name intrigues me.

Jill Stuart II

Jill Stuart Mook.I got the blusher in the same colour as the picture. It's even nicer in real life.I only used it once. Most of the time, it's sitting in my Jill Stuart vanity case and once a while, I will take it out and admire.

I managed to reserve a copy over at the Liang Court branch. Orchard Kinokuniya are all reserved! Is it that hot? Nevertheless, I'm glad I managed to reserve a copy. Can't wait to collect over the weekend!

XOXO
