Forcing that horrible concoction of medicine down my throat in the morning always put me in a bad mood all day.
Not to mention that realizing the whole bunch of wedding accessories I might have to craft myself if I can't find suitable ones at Disneyland.
That includes adding a Disney touch to :
Invitations
Guestbook
Ring Pillow
Red Packet Box
Favours
All without the help of Mr. Butterfingers of course. Mmmm. And mine's a wedding reception. I can't even imagine how much work goes into a wedding banquet. Those poor souls.
Wedding Reception Checklist
1. Booking of venue at Four Seasons Hotel
2. Sign up bridal package with Silhouette Atelier
3. Get my Tiffany engagement ring & wedding bands
3. Source for wedding cakes ( Goodwill to inform relatives that I'm getting hitched)
4. Trying on wedding gowns
5. Source for bridal jewellery, hair accessories & heels
I still can't confirm whether there's enough budget to buy a wedding cake. And I read from the internet that Four Seasons High-Tea buffet includes cakes. I was thinking that money could be put into good use for the wedding favours. I refuse to go through the typical no-theme boring Singapore solemnization. I refuse.
And the best thing is: I don't need to lose any weight. So by then hopefully I should have recover, I probably can hold on to my can of coke while I prepare my wedding!

Agnes br "ab heart" series

Steady Magazine March Issue. I've reserved my copy at Kinokuniya eons ago. Waiting to collect when it comes out early Febuary.

Agnes Br Spring/Summer Collection Mook. Still wondering whether to get or not even though I've made my reservation. It look almost exactly like the one I bought in the boutique months ago. Though the charm's really pretty.
Great wedding ideas
I'm not the type to do cookie-cutter parties, let alone my own wedding. I'm always the fancy type, so there must be a theme. I've been thinking on how to doll up my wedding theme. I'm doing Mickey Mouse. I wanted Cinderella, but it seems harder to incorporate. I just can't foreseen how, with my limited budget & lack of resources, I can do a full blown Cinderella theme. We're planning a trip to Tokyo Disneyland to shop for our wedding accessories when I recover. Perhaps, I might be able to maneuver the situation in the direction I wanted.

Mickey Mouse ring pillow. I don't think it's worth spending USD60++(excluding shipping) to get it. I mean, it's kind of cute, but doesn't have that "wow"factor.

I wonder if I can find this horse carriage ring holder in Disneyland? Will be keeping a lookout. This would make the perfect ring holder! Otherwise, I need to rack my brains on how to add on the mickey theme again.

Mickey Mouse guest book. You can find all sorts of fancy Disney wedding items on the internet, comes with a hefty price tag of course.
So for my wedding guest book, I'm planning on doing this:

This is a really neat idea! Basically, you allow your guests to show their artistic flair by asking them to decorate the card and write their wedding congrats on it.

They then slip the finished cards into the envelope pasted inside the guest book. Of course, to add on the Disney theme, I'm thinking of using envelopes or cards printed with mickey mouse silhouette.

Instead of the usual guestbook, the cards are slip into a fancy box in this unconventional idea.

Little bags of favours. I'm keeping this idea for my housewarming party.

Wedding Funnies
I have one question:
What's the deal with balloons and wedding photoshoot?
How is spending a few thousand dollars posing right outside tacky places like the subordinate court holding balloons any attractive? It's so cliche. Unless you are talking about doing overseas photoshoot in countries like Bali, France, Australia where the scenery is breathtaking. Then, it might be worth splurging on. One might argue that it's expensive, and doing it locally is a feasible alternative. Then again, why settle for second best?
Another thing that baffles me is the topic of red packets and wedding banquet. Chinese can be really funny people sometimes. They splurge on a grand cookie-cutter wedding banquet, then expect the guests to pay for their own share. And start to justify themselves by saying stuffs like "oh, do you think you are coming here for a free lunch?".
What the? It doesn't make sense. I agree red packets are a practical gift but doesn't it should come from the heart and not trying to match cent-for-cent on how much the banquet costs? It's a simple theory. If you can't afford to held your wedding at a 5-star hotel, then don't! Hold it in a restaurant instead. Sorry to inform you, sweetheart, but if you want "face", you have got to pay it yourself. To throw back at your own words; remember what you always pride on, there's no free lunch!
I'm planning to hold my solemnization(no, I refuse to say ROM. It's grammatically wrong. Don't even get me started on that) at Four Seasons hotel which is expensive. Yes, I prefer red packets as gifts but I don't expect people to pay me cent for cent. Four Seasons is not cheap, but I am prepared to fork out so much money to live the gossip girl dream.
One thing that have been debating in my mind for a very long time: Should I stick to my own principles or conform to social norms?
But no matter where you held it at, please do not do it at a chalet. It's cannot, I stress, cannot be any tackier. It's plain cheap. One of my cousins, the one I dislike, hold hers at a chalet. But it's a different case for her since she's a cheap whore anyway so it's befitting. Okay, now I'm being mean. A great alternative is to held it at your own home. It's warm, it's cozy, and it takes away the tackiness.
Seriously again, what's the deal with balloons and wedding photoshoot? And the fake wedding cake?
Oh god, never fail to amuse me.
P.S. The very bored author is at the midst of researching on her own wedding and might come back with more wedding funnies, if there's any.

Updates

I saw this on F21.com but it would be silly to ship this all the way from the states. In the end, I was inspired to do my own version.

My own DIY version. All these for close to $6 for the materials.

Had the annual pineapple tarts making session with my Mama. I took the chance to try out my brand new cutters. The cookies are kawaii!

Alice in Wonderland theme
I was inspired by Paul & Joe Alice in Wonderland Collection to do a theme on it. Dreamy, isn't it? I love my new layout!
Disney Alice in Wonderland Collection by Paul & Joe
I'm sold on this dreamy Alice in Wonderland collection. Reserved my set at Takashimaya. I was in a dilemma as both sets are equally dreamy, decided to go for "Daydream" set in the end. Still wondering whether to get it, as it's retailing at an expensive $80. Evil marketing. Pure evil.

Talking about Disney, Mr. Bear got a pair of Disney on Ice tickets, after my not-so-subtle hinting. 4th row seats! Can't wait to catch it in March!
My Achilles’ heel; Disney and designer bags.

Disney theme wedding ideas
I'm still wavering between choosing a Mickey Mouse or a Cinderella theme. These are some great ideas I found from the net to DIY your own Disney wedding.
Wedding Invitations

Envelopes tied with ribbons. Would like to have my signature bow on it though. And Disney stamps! I checked. Singpost does provide personalize stamps service. So it's possible to get Disney stamps!

Mickey head silhouette cut out from ribbons. Can save money to custom made Disney invitations. A subtle touch to personalize the invitations in accordance with the theme.
Wedding Rings & Heels

Disney rings! I like the hidden mickey idea. And the hidden mickey bling under the sole of the heels.
Wedding favours
I planned on buying mickey mouse shaped chocolates or cookies from Disneyland and packaging them into favours for the guests.

Complete with mickey head favours tags
Wedding Rings Holder

Cute!
Wedding gown

I luv luv luv the gown. All the lace is dreamy. But I'm not so keen on the top part. Would like to have a more obvious sweetheart neckline.

I like the back details of the top.

Luv the beading on this one

Not really keen on the neckline but the beading is gorgeous!
