Day 4 - 12th Aug 2009We had our breakfast at the nearby MacDonald as usual, then went off to explore the nearby bookstores. Mr Bear wanted to buy comics. Their bookstores are huge!

I was so psyched to see the Chinese version of Twilight! Apparently, Twilight = Mu Guang Zi Chen. Nice name. I thought of buying to keep but it cost the same as the English version.
No point buying something so expensive that I will not read. And Edward is called Ai De Hua. After reading Twilight, I totally think Edward is the nicest name on the planet. The name Edward rocks.
Then it was off to Hello Kitty Cafe! I'm not much of a Hello Kitty fan and didn't planned on going, that is, until I saw the pictures of the cafe posted on the Internet. I thought it was really really cute!

Here come my kitty head cake. I totally choose based on cuteness. As Mr Bear puts it, irrational choice.
What funny is, the lady sitting besides me saw my cake and wanted to order the same one, then the lady who came a while later sitting near my table saw that lady order the kitty cake and wanted the same one too. All thanks to me :)

Totally kawaii ne! And surprisingly, it tastes delicious!

I took this all by myself using the camera self-timer. So glad it turns out nice.

Our bill. I totally forgot to take back the feedback form as a souvenir.
We were seated on the 2nd floor, but they have several different seating areas on the 1st floor. I took a picture with each of them.

Last picture with the kitty couch before going off
All thanks to Mr. Bear the cameraman in accord of his unduly patience for taking so many pretty pictures of me.
It started to rain heavily once we were out of the cafe. What luck! We decided to hold off going to Danshui and head for Eslite bookstore. The place is really really huge!
They were having a sale, much to my delight. I managed to grab Sister's Keeper and the new Sophie Kinsella book at a hefty discount. So elated! I wish we had more time to explore the place but we really wanted to go Danshui.
So we hurried back to the hotel to put our shopping bags and head for Danshui immediately though it was still raining. By the time we got there, it was already late evening and still drizzling. Several shops were already closed.

Along the streets of Danshui

Stopping for some quick bite

We stumbled upon Peter Rabbit gift shop. I love Peter Rabbit!

Shop selling lots and lots of cuddly teddy bears
Since it was already late and pitch dark, we decided to forgo going Fisherman's Wharf and go straight to Xi Men Ding for supper.
Off to the
last day in Taiwan...
